Tony Andre, Esq. is the principal shareholder of Andre Law. Mr. Andre has honed his skills at the finest regional and national law firms and possesses a varied and dynamic legal background ranging from transactional matters to sophisticated commercial and financial institution litigation. He has represented institutional clients and investors in transactions and litigation and has also represented those same clients in various capacities (including plaintiff, defendant, and neutral third party).
Mr. Andre’s representative matters include the representation of a leading national bank in the district court for the Southern District of Florida in litigation involving a judgment creditor of the Republic of Argentina concerning the enforcement of judgments entered against the Republic for the default of hundreds of millions of dollars of Argentinean bonds.
Mr. Andre successfully overturned an adverse ruling in the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeals, which resulted in the establishment of favorable law and a seminal decision regarding service of process on banks in the state (Bank of America, N.A. vs. Jonathan Bornstein, 39 So.3d 500 (Fla. 4th DCA 2010)).
In his work in creditor’s rights and commercial collections, Mr. Andre has collected millions of dollars on behalf of his clients through various means of post-judgment collection techniques. In addition, Mr. Andre has aided out-of-state investors domesticate and enforce judgments throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Andre is a Miami native. Mr. Andre earned his bachelor’s degree in 2002 and his law degree in 2007, both from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Andre earned his Florida Bar membership in 2007 and New York Bar membership in 2010. Mr. Andre is admitted to district courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Prior to founding Andre Law, Mr. Andre practiced at nationally recognized law firms in the areas of commercial litigation, financial services litigation, business transactions, and commercial collections.
